Empowering Individuals and Families
While a person can feel better after a good talk with a friend or relative, for moderate or severe emotional distress, this relief is only temporary. Talking with a trained listener helps alleviate emotional distress for good. Donna Reid Washington, MHS, LPC is trained to listen and interact in a way that helps you get to the very root of your emotional concerns.
We offer you an opportunity to face your difficulties constructively and confidently; freeing you to enjoy all the good things life has to offer. Don’t wait another minute. Give us a call. We’ll give you an opportunity to meet the therapist and see if our practice is right for you.

Life Balance with
Donna Reid Washington, MHS, LPC
Many years of experience have shown me that an eclectic approach to therapy is the most beneficial.
We, humans, possess various doctrines, methods and styles and no one style of therapy can successfully applied to an individual person. However, the core of my approach is person-centered which allows me to offer you a relationship in which I try to see the way you see your problems, your feelings, your hopes and fears.
As important as it is for us to have a positive relationship it is just as important to have a good, trusting relationship. Change will come when you learn to think differently, therefore we will focus on using rational self-counseling skills.
You will be an intricate part of the therapy process and have a voice in assisting in your treatment modalities and treatment planning. I see this as a team approach to addressing the concerns you come with when you enter this relationship. You are the true expert in determining the changes you need to make.
